                                                                                                                                                               The Green Revolution within India commenced in the early 1960s that led to an increase in food grain production,
                                                                                                                                                               especially in Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. Major milestones in this undertaking were the development of

                                                                                                                                                               has decided to establish a Guava Research Estate on 25 acres at Wajidpur village at a cost of Rs 4 crore, while such
                                                                                                                                                               farms will be set up in other districts where earmarked fruits will be promoted.
                                                                                                                                                               “The whole idea is to help farmers to give up on wheat and paddy cycle and save underground water and also promote
                                                                                                                                                               fruit farming as a means of livelihood”. So where big states like UP, MP, Bihar and Rajasthan conned their
                                                                                                                                                               agriculture policy in loan waiver, crop insurance and minimum support Price (MSP) these two states are working
                                                                                                                                                               silently and implementing their policies to promote crop diversication. I hope in coming decades these two states
                                                                                                                                                               would once again lead in transformation of agriculture sector in India.
